Lisa Jacobs & The String Soloists

  • St Bavo’s Cathedral

Leading Dutch violinist Lisa Jacobs was already performing with the Concertgebouworkest and Riccardo Chailly as a seventeen-year-old. She is known for her impassioned performances and her tremendous talent for communicating with the audience. She is also linked to Ghent, as she teaches at the conservatory. Together with her international musical friends, The String Soloists, she treats us to a Slavic programme, which includes the incredibly romantic, sweet and melancholy Romance by Antonín Dvořák and Henryk Wieniawski’s Fantasie brillante on themes from Faust van Gounod.
