Romina Lischka & Ghalia Benali

  • Industriemuseum

Gambist Romina Lischka, who is also familiar with the North Indian dhrupad style, and the classical Arabic singer Ghalia Benali share a love of the music of Marin Marais, the gamba virtuoso of the French baroque. He composed more than 500 works for the instrument. Ghalia and Romina begin their musical encounter with his Pièces de Viole.

In the pleasure of listening to each other and exchanging musical ideas about different styles and cultures, they develop a dialogue in which they try to capture the common spirit of Arabic maqams, Indian ragas and the impressionistic moods of Marais.
